The Cromwell is gone. In its place, opening May 29 at one of the most coveted corners of the Las Vegas Strip, is something new: The Vanderpump Hotel. Lisa Vanderpump's first hotel venture is now accepting reservations, and what it signals for the surrounding real estate corridor is worth paying attention to.
What the Vanderpump Hotel Is
The property replaces The Cromwell at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. It is a 188-room boutique hotel with a rooftop pool and event space offering panoramic Strip views. Interiors were designed by Vanderpump and business partner Nick Alain in a signature palette. Rooms start at $499 per night.
What It Means for Real Estate
The significance here is not about the hotel itself. It is about what boutique, celebrity-branded hospitality does to a corridor. When a property like this opens, it signals to investors, developers, and buyers that there is still room on the Strip for curated, premium experiences alongside the mega-resorts.
That energy flows outward. Properties near Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard, both residential and commercial, benefit from the economic activity a high-profile opening generates. The hospitality dollar does not stay inside the hotel. It spills into the neighborhood.
The Bigger Picture
On the same week Clark County approved a standalone children's hospital for the southwest valley, a world-famous personality opens a boutique hotel at the center of the Strip. Las Vegas is investing simultaneously in its tourist economy and in the quality of life for its residents. That dual investment is what separates a city on the rise from one that has peaked.
The question is not whether Las Vegas is ready. The question is whether you are.
